Our latest project was creating a photography cover. My partner Ann and I decided to recreate a cover of TIME. We picked the issue of sexual assault in school and colleges to raise awareness. TIME is famous for it's minimalist but bold covers, with only one or two headings to draw attention to the magazine. We began seeing posters around our school pointing out that clothes don't give consent, rape is not consensual, respect should be given to everyone, etc. We became inspired by it, and asked a bunch of our friends to participate in our photo. We put a twist on "No means No" to say "When Will No Mean No?" , because no matter how many times "No Means No" is enforced, it's still not happening. "No Means No" has become so generic and it's lost it's powerful meaning. Our new slogan "When Will No Mean No?" revokes attention to the cause by pleading the question why isn't "No Means No" getting through and taken seriously?
